Simmons Law Firm, LLC represents states in consumer protection actions, including against pharmaceutical companies in order to recover damages for healthcare costs paid for by states as a result of drug manufacturer’s unlawful marketing practices and other violations of state law. We have represented the State of South Carolina in numerous actions against pharmaceutical companies. This includes successfully achieving a $45 million settlement with Eli Lilly over the antipsychotic drug Zyprexa and winning a jury verdict in 2011 against Janssen Pharmaceutica over the antipsychotic drug Risperdal.
